ARTISTdistrict Magazine & Pastel Radio announce partnership

ARTISTdistrict Magazine Mexico Edition, Morelia, Michoacán 2023

On April 6 of this year, the collaboration between ARTISTdistrict Magazine, the publishing house of the ARTISTdistrict community and Pastel Radio became official. The conversation between the founder of the ARTISTdistrict brand Ramon Barajas III Lazcano Calvillo and Roberto Castro Rojas, founder of Pastel Radio began in 2022 in Morelia, Michoacán. At that time, a series of projects were discussed in which they could be developed in support of independent talent.

One of the reasons for the interest in this collaboration was the lack of support for independent talent. From Los Angeles and Morelia, both cities have a lot in common, as Ramon Barajas III Lazcano Calvillo and Roberto Castro Rojas tell us through their experiences as artists.

ARTISTdistrict Magazine and Pastel Radio, being platforms for the dissemination of independent talent through audiovisual communication, have now joined forces with the aim of promoting more independent artists from North America and the rest of the world.

ARTISTdistrict Magazine started in 2013 as the first digital magazine completely focused on independent and emerging talent in all its disciplines. Its purpose was born with its founder Ramón Barajas III Lazcano Calvillo, from his experience in Hollywood as a model, dancer, photographer and activist of arts education.

On the other hand, Pastel Radio began broadcasting on June 1, 2002 on 106.9fm Sistema Michoacano de Radio y Televisión from Morelia, Michoacán, México with the firm conviction of disseminating independent art, which is all the women and men artists who create works. originals or they are also performers of great quality and talent who face difficulties to show their work in the media. We are passionate about doing radio, we love to discover, show and surprise ourselves. We make friends with artists, we accompany them, we write with pleasure, we edit without regret. The public is the most important thing, we love having contact with the people who listen to us and see us.

Among the projects for this 2023, ARTISTdistrict Magazine and Pastel Radio plan to direct a scientific documentary project focused on species at risk of extinction. For the ARTISTdistrict community, the opportunity was presented through Pastel Radio to officially launch the first ARTISTdistrict Radio show, opening the first official Radio of the community itself. Such program will be dedicated to focus programs from personal development, education, industry, art and culture and more. Such program will be available in the United States, Mexico, Chile, Bolivia, Colombia, Chile, and Spain.

In the case of Pastel Radio, there is an opportunity for Pastel Radio to run an editorial space with ARTISTdistrict Magazine from its edition in Mexico to complement audiovisual broadcasting. In the same way, thanks to this collaboration, opportunities will be presented soon which include a "Masterclass" series aimed at the training of the independent artist, a program through the ARTISTdistrict community for aspiring writers, producers, photographers, communication experts, marketing and more.
